Snow falls on a bleak and desolate hellscape of ice and freezing winds as Kai Li Cain radios in that the Wayne expedition has found the Cobblepot basecamp. Meanwhile, Bruce Wayne, Dick Grayson and Sanjay Tawde are searching for survivors among the frozen dead. After finding Professor Cobblepot’s journal, Bruce wanders the area surrounding the base camp and finds Cobblepot alive, naked, and enthralled by a calling from the ice. Pursuing Cobblepot, Bruce Wayne instead discovers a crazed Grendon in an ice cave, subdues him, and then blows up the cave.
To gaze upon his form is to invite madness
