Sitting alone at a table in jail, Barry tells himself that he is a good person. Haunted by Gene Cousineau’s words that Barry is “irredeemable,” Barry is losing his mind in jail.
Season three of HBO’s Barry was packed. His former Marine buddy turned investigator, Albert discovered that Barry was responsible for the death of Detective Moss. Albert took Barry to the desert at gunpoint to kill him but shows mercy on Barry, who resolves to change his ways. Barry doesn’t get the chance as Gene Cousineau tricked Barry into storming the home of Janice’s father, where an LAPD SWAT team was waiting to take Barry into custody. And both Sally and former mobster NoHo Hank kill someone.
Barry is a dark comedy starring Bill Hader as a depressed, low-rent hitman from the Midwest. Lonely and dissatisfied in his life, he reluctantly travels to Los Angeles to execute a hit on an aspiring actor. Barry follows his “mark” into an acting class and ends up finding an accepting community in a group of eager hopefuls within the LA theater scene. He wants to start a new life as an actor, but his criminal past won’t let him walk away.
