Strength and Honor. The sea brings Roman warships and a fierce battle to Numidia. Lucius, the grandson of Rome’s former emperor Marcus Aurelius and son of Lucilla and Maximus, has been taken into slavery two decades after the events in the original Gladiator. Now Lucius fights as a gladiator under the watchful eye of Macrinus.
Macrinus is a power broker who opposes the rule of the young emperors Caracalla and Geta. Macrinus owns Lucius and trains him for battle. Gladiator II is in theaters on November 22, 2024.
