Cleo Abram released the first episode of her new series, Huge Conversations and the episode has guest Mark Zuckerberg. The interview touches on the Orion AR glasses, generative AI, augmented reality, social media, and more.
Abrams sets the Orion AR glasses on the table and Zuckerberg says, “10 years of work right there.” After Abram mentions that someone on Zuckerberg’s staff called the Orion AR glasses, “real-life Tony Stark glasses,” she asks Zuckerberg what he would call them.
“These are the first full holographic augmented reality glasses… in the world.” Zuckerberg talks about the 10 years of research and development to “miniaturize all the computing that you need to have glasses, not a headset, but glasses, that can put full holograms into the world with a wide field of view.” Zuckerberg then discusses how people may benefit from augmented reality glasses.
