The Photonic Revolution, Computing With Light

Lightmatter is leading a photonic revolution, computing with photons (light) instead of electrons. This huge leap forward in computational power has already begun.

We are reaching the limits of silicon-based transistors. They are getting so small that they are approaching the size of individual atoms. For the past half-decade, ambitions for Artificial General Intelligence have been everywhere. Computation capabilities are so fast that the network can become the bottleneck and achieving AGI will require vast amounts of blinding fast computational power.
