Synchron is the maker of an implantable brain-computer interface that allows people living with paralysis to control devices with their thoughts. Jesse Orrall of CNET spoke with Synchron CEO Tom Oxley about how the brain-computer interface (BCI) works with Apple and Amazon devices and more.
With new demos of how the BCI device could control Amazon Alexa devices like the Fire Tablet and Apple’s Vision Pro headset, Oxley goes over how Synchron BCI uses existing technology. Oxley also goes on to discuss how future technology could empower more users. With only 10 people have used the Synchron brain-computer interface system since 2019, there are many more users to learn about the system.
