Earth continues to see record-high temperatures and the overall warming of the planet. This means that wet bulb events are happening more often and in more places. Extreme wet bulb events refer to the lethal combination of heat and humidity, which prevents the body from self-regulating body temperatures. Previously rare events in limited locales, climate models are predicting wet bulb events are likely to happen more often and in more places.
